For Wonderauto, subsidiary of D'Ieteren Automotive, we are looking for a Head of Wholesale My Way.
Wonderauto, active in used cars at Belgian and international level, has the ambition to become the undisputed market leader in Belgium through a used-vehicle sales model that combines online channels with a national dealer network.
 

Function

The wholesale car factory is the operational engine of My Way. The car factory ensures that My Way sources the right quality cars for the Belgian market and delivers an excellent service quality to our strategic distribution channels. 
In the end, the Wholesale car factory continuously searches for the right balance between volume, margin and stock velocity and aims to fee our My Way network with the right products for the Belgian market.


In order to realize this mission, we need a Head of Wholesale, whose mission is to…

  • Ensure a smooth collaboration between purchase, business development, sales, pricing and operations:
    • It is crucial that these entities collaborate with the exact same objectives in everything they do.
    • The natural tensions created by the challenges of all different sub-entities must continuously be tackled by common goals and coordination.  Hence, it is crucial to create unity and togetherness.
  • Ensure a close collaboration with both strategic channels (LMA- and online sales channels), supporting them in their mission. 
  • Derive commercial strategies to sustainably source our My Way network and online sales channel with the right cars with the right quality at the right prices.
  • Professionalize the whole end-2-end process from purchase-sales-pricing-operations B2B (cfr. mission).

The function reports to the Managing Director My Way and is part of the Management Team

Profile

  • Minimum 15 years of total working experience of which minimum 5 in a leadership position with clear P&L responsibilities
  • Experience in managing a team of senior managers
  • Commercial Experience in a B2B environment, ideally in the Automotive/ Mobility sector
  • Minimum a Bachelor’s degree – Master degree is a plus
  • Understanding the main profitability drivers of our business, and you are able to derive strategies spanning across our different functions in order to optimize the profitability at group level. 
  • Team Leadership skills: you will be managing a team of managers who have their own teams. You are able to align the objectives of the different teams, set the right priorities, nurture team collaboration, all with an inspiring leadership style.
  • Building partnerships: within My Way with the strategic sales channels, within D’Ieteren regarding captive sourcing and externally with new & existing long term partners (key accounts, rentals, lease-co’s)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in Dutch, French and English
